Simply , the system could be better. The cost of health care is too expensive. Physicians are more concerned now rather large salaries to help keep patients healthy and alive.

I was recently in a car accident and I just received a hospital bill for $ 295 , but if deemed necessary by the ambulance attendants that you have to go to hospital, then, here in Ontario , the government pay $ 250 and l have to pay only $ 45
Let me tell you l was so happy to see the ambulance, I would have paid anything, and the attendees were so gentle and kind , God bless you.

Have over their heads like the rest of us, though perhaps they are a little greedy , who knows.
Large overheads , mega bucks spent on health care . Insurance and the bull beurocratic such, I hope they eat a lot too, abundant litigation , I have to cover your ***. Alternatively , develop a contingency plan staff , be prepared , since it is my experience , I will not need insurance until you let it expire , and they put salt in the wound .

Think of what a hospital charges for a couple of Tylenol !
An ambulance is essentially a hospital on wheels.
Answer6BaroAnswered at 2012-02-07 19:10:14

The cost of the cities to buy , equip and staff an ambulance is huge ...... the vehicle must be attended by 2 trained professionals 24 hours a day , 365 days a year if you answer a call or not ...... so even though only requires the use of it for one hour ... that crew still has to be paid , even if not an answer ........ in other words, mulltiply $ 20/hr ( conservative figure ) x two people x 24 hours = $ 1000 per day just to staff.

After adding fuel, medicines , oxygen , equipment, dispatchers , mechanics service , tires , radios , radio systems , training , pay a doctor for your medical director , supervisors , lawsuits , car repairs , station fire , health benifits , vacation, sick days , payment of damages , etc, etc, that piece of equipment costs the city in the neighborhood of $ 1 , 000,000 (which is a conservative figure ) per year to have available in its invitation to call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , 52 weeks a year , each Holliday, every weekend , bad weather , no matter , at your disposal. Days .... $ 1,000,000 / 365 = $ 2739 per day.

So some cities of years ago began trying to recover the costs of charging fees for use .... In my city, and many others that the intention is to recover the cost of insurance .... $ 750.00 charge for a transportation bill your insurance company , if only to pay $ 500 which by law must charge the $ 250 .... but if you do not pay .... simply discarded.

If you purchase coverage for ambulance for a family of about $ 100.00 a year, then it's free!

Otherwise it is a $ 500.00 call for fees, then in the upper kilometer .

You would be mad not to have coverage

There is only one type of ambulance. So have the EMTs and equipment prepared to deal with anything, they know not what they will find when they get there . You can take any type of patient , stabilize themm and keep them alive , while weaving through traffic .

Smart people can do they are not cheap . You have to pay more than the EMTs could make database programming , otherwise it would do that.

And because they know the way to the hospital , haha! That's worth $ 1000 right there!

Not that you are cheating , it's just that the corrective medicine (such as AMA -sanctioned and practiced in the U.S.) is very expensive by nature. Other systems of medicine are much cheaper, but are mostly preventive.

The cost in training our skilled paramedics and the equipment required is enormous. The cost of the vehicle alone, plus the cost of fuel pushes up the cost. This can be overcome in most cases to join the subscription to the local ambulance service .

all health care costs a lot .... but you have to be at the cost of the ambulance, the cost of having highly trained professionals to keep you alive , the cost of equipment , the cost of diesel (it used to be cheaper than regular gasoline .. but not anymore. ..)
Ambulances usually charge a flat fee , plus mileage, or charge a lower rate, in addition to what they use , plus mileage ...

When the guys from the ambulance arrived and began to laugh at my situation, I told them to forget it ,

this is stupid . ambulances should be free . we pay our taxes we dont ? What about all that money we pay to the government? How can they justify a budget surplus ? ? ambulances are no different from police and firefighters ... the government should provide us these services for free.

is crazy!
Answer22JenniferAnswered at 2012-04-03 10:22:27
Pure greed on their part. Besides having to pay a franchise fee from the city / town to operate ambulances.
