What is a good defense strategy for contesting an improper left turn in court?0DAVISHA2012-08-01 10:44:54
I was trying to turn left at a shopping mall and it was dark and raining that night. I accidentally hit half island, without lights or reflective signs and did not even realize I hit up the impact. This was not an intersection with a traffic light or in general very well lit. No other vehicles were involved and has not damaged the property, except the tires and the chassis of my car again. : ( I was the one who started calling the police for an accident report for insurance purposes only . Initially, the county sheriff showed up and said it was me if I wanted to file a police report , and who look like they had two flat tires. I told him to go ahead and that he feared was under further damage. Later, a state police showed up and took over more detailed information and questions. The sheriff left the scene , but I was very cooperative with the state police and later, when he gave me the option of responding to questions from my car or in his patrol car arrived , I offered to get into his car to avoid have to wait in the cold and rain. Well, when we finished and finally got into the truck trailer they scheduled me for a wrong turn ! I would like to contest this ticket , but need advice on how to defend , not guilty or innocent no contest. The school traffic and eliminate points of the fine in this case? I have a good driving record and all occupants were seat belt. Thank you !

Left Turn accident02012-08-25 10:52:58
I was in an accident involving one other car. I was turning left, from a stopped position, crossing two lanes to a side street. The lanes I was crossing had a red light. The first lane was very long and stopped. A small truck left space for me to cross in front of him. I pulled in front of him and moved a bit forward to see the next lane. A car was coming very fast in the next lane. I came to a complete stop and the fast moving car ran into my front bumper on passanger's side and continued down the front. My car was still drivable with considerable damage, but his car was smashed up on the front drivers side. How do I know who was at fault?
Left turn CAR ACCIDENT (OHIO)?0Sweet Cheeks 2012-05-09 21:01:44
I have curiosity, as if I should go to court to appeal the fine or at least not totally the fault of the car accident, or something else. PLEASE AND THANK YOU. I was in the turn lane to the left while still green, waiting for oncoming traffic to clear an open spot to turn and the light turns yellow over time and see a car1 in lane 1 as it is slowing down down a hill and down car2 car1 the same speed, but they were in lane 3 (closer to the turn lane on the left). The two began to decrease at the same time, so I thought it was my opportunity to turn from that already in the intersection and the light was red point and could cause traffic for drivers to the right and left me. As I am in the process of converting, car2 t-bones and I car1 is in the red light. After the accident, no injuries and we moved our cars to a street off the main road and called the police to warn them of the accident. Since the police did not know if it was University property or property of the city, the campus police arrived shortly after and get our driver's licenses and insurance cards and just made sure that both drivers were fine. (Since I have never been in an accident before the police asked a few questions about what to do about this situation) Then the officer asked how it happened, and the other driver only claims that could not have stopped because the yellow light turned right when I was almost on the line and do not tell me much, until I could talk to the officer alone. I told the officer what was described ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ up and actually told me he thought it was the fault of another driver and could possibly be the receipt of the citation. After the official city filed (an hour later .....) the officer gave him our cards and campus information and the officer of the city began to walk toward us and just says "I will be with you in a second, ma'am. "(I have not said anything). He tells the other driver to come to your vehicle and about 10-15 minutes talking about something and then let the driver go. To wait another 20 minutes or so while writing things in your vehicle and then the waves on me to get to your window. This will make you **** your pants! He had already written the ticket and asked me what my social security number and phone number was and asked me to sign the citation. So I asked, "Should not share my version of history?" and he says: "The other driver told me his story, and more or less told me yours." So I begin to explain what really happened, and he stops and says, "I can not side with anyone, because I was not here during the accident." Is not that contradict itself? All that was ** in the citation for my crime was "turn left".
Left turn CAR ACCIDENT (OHIO)?0Braxton2012-07-28 16:41:03
I am curious as if I should go to court to appeal the ticket or at least not be fully blamed for the car accident, or something else. PLEASE AND THANK YOU. I was in the left turn lane while it was still green waiting for oncoming traffic to clear up for an open spot to turn and the light eventually turns yellow and I see a car1 in lane 1 slowing down as they are coming down a hill and car2 coming down the same speed as car1, but they were in lane 3 (closest to the left turn lane). They both started to slow down at the same time so I thought it was my chance to turn since I was already in the intersection and the light was about to turn red and i would cause traffic for the drivers to the right and left of me. As I am in the process of turning, car2 t-bones me and car1 is at the red light. After the accident, there were no injuries and we moved our cars to one of the streets off of the main road and I called the police to notify them of the accident. Since the police didn't know whether it was university property or city property, the campus police arrived shortly after and retrieved our drivers licenses and insurance cards and just made sure both drivers were okay. (Since I have never been in an accident before, I asked the cop a few questions about what should be done about this situation) Then the officer asked us how it happened, and the other driver just states that he could not have stopped because the light turned yellow right as he was almost at the line and I didn't say much until I could speak with the officer alone. I wait another 20 or so minutes while he writing down stuff in his vehicle and then waves me over to come to his window. THIS WILL MAKE YOU **** YOUR PANTS! He already had the ticket written out and just asked me what my SSN and phone number was and asked me to sign the citation. So I asked him, "Shouldn't I be sharing my side of the story?" and he just says, "The other driver told me his story, and pretty much told me yours." So I start to explain what really happened and he interrupts and says, "I cannot side with anyone because I was not here during the accident." ISN'T THAT JUST CONTRADICTING HIMSELF??? **All there was on the citation for my offense was "Left turns".
If you put someone on your car insurance, does it raise your premium?0River2012-11-04 22:51:33
I already paid my premium for the year. I will be away from home for a few months. I thought I should add my sister to my policy during those months because she will be taking care of the car. (We don't live at the same residence. She already has her own car. She'd probably just take my car out a few times for upkeep reasons only.) Will my insurance company charge me extra? Is it worth mentioning it to them at all? Thanks for your help.
I was in a car accident, that was automatically my fault due to a left turn. I have no insurance. I need help?4Holly2012-04-23 19:30:30
I was involved in a car accident Sunday night . I was in the left lane turning to go down a residential street . My car was totaled and he suffered serious injuries in the arms and legs. They said it was reckless driving, but I stopped and looked twice the traffic. I think the other car had no lights on and was originally in the turn lane in front of me and changed his mind . It frightens me , this is the worst that can happen to me right now . The other vehicle was damaged but the pilot of 19 years old male, was unharmed. My insurance expired , I'm in the worst financial situation. I do not know what to do, I want to do the right thing. I'm so scared that I will be sued. I have enough to deal with right now , and this is just the most horrible thing that can happen . What should I do. I can not afford an attorney, my car is a total loss , I have no household limit, I have no job , no money, I do not know what to do. Please help and give constructive advice. Please do not be rude or nasty .
If Someone Backed into Your Car and Left a 3-inch Scratch, Would You Turn it Into Their Insurance?6 → っ Curcuma Hikaru put it -2012-04-01 14:01:27
Someone backed into my car. The car is 4 years old. A 3-inch scratch in the paint remained . I was sitting in the car in a parking lot at the moment. I was happy that the damage was not worse. Would you advise your insurance company? How would you do to fix it? Would you bother to fix it?
Got into a car accident making a left turn. would i take the blame?0shantay2012-10-24 06:35:29
Hello, from Queens, New York and I had just had an accident. I was dropping my friend home after school and had just made a left turn and was about to take the next left after when I was beaten. The road was originally a two-lane, but the right side of the street were lined with buses (probably on vacation) so almost became one lane wide. I was in the far right lane on the left and the right side of my car was practically right on top of the lines. I had my signal on and just when I was making the turn to an agreement only on the right hit the left front of my car. I start rolling to the right because it breaks unresponsive and the car that hit me later ended a car parked on the corner of the block that was trying to become. The car that hit me was totaled from the looks of it. MedlinePlus I was not speeding because I had just made a turn to the street, but can not stop thinking about the other person who hit me was speeding was considering a neighborhood and the damage did not only for my car, but hit her and behind her. Oh, and the person who hit me was a 72-year-old, who was taken by ambulance after making the 911 call. MedlinePlus I feel like I'm in a hurry and the blame will fall on me. I mean, it sounds more believable a woman of 72 years that started in an ambulance or a veteran of 26 years old who attends the local community college. Insurance will cover all but the principle that someone was wrong and I really believe that I was right. MedlinePlus There was a small library where security cameras happened and I'm thinking about asking to see pictures or get a copy of the incident.
Was the accident my fault? I was making Left Turn.?6 ﹏ 1s. Black Tang herbicides? 2012-05-24 01:03:26
I was in a turn lane to the left on a 4 lane highway (no light) I sat in the left lane and waited for about 4 cars go by and the road was clear and safe for me to continue my Back (vi without oncoming traffic or headlights). During my turn, I was distracted by the lights shining in my car and looked out the passenger window (at the time the passenger door was in the right lane of oncoming traffic), saw lights about 15-20-foot away from me, took my foot of the gas (not struck off) and then I hit my gas to drive across the street and into the entrance where he was going. (I had finished my shift) I have not been successful cold then suddenly I was beaten at the entrance where he was going. The other driver said he delivered in front of him and he hit me on the road, but that was not true after the accident was over my car was in the middle of the entrance where he and his truck was on the side of the near the entrance road from where he hit me in I told the police that he had his lights on and I do not see it coming, but they said it was my fault because I did not to give up on my watch. The damage to my car was the defense front passenger front wheel was bent outward, the front passenger door was broken, the two wheels were kept and took his rim.scratches midway through the back passenger door My rear bumper was completely out of the car all the way and the car was damaged under too. The other driver told the INS agent claims he was only going 20 mph and that was in front of him and he crashed on me, on the road to my agent told INS claims that it has completed my turn and I hit input on where I was going and that its headlights were automatic. At the moment my claims agent is saying that it is likely that 70% at fault and I to 30%. I'm not sure how it works. But I know for a fact I did not see coming and that he was beaten after my shift. what do you think? I live in Missouri I have to say that damage to the vehicle to other drivers was light on the passenger side, front fender and grill on the passenger side, front tire on the passenger side.
