What is workers comp?

I was doing the night at work and broke my toe. [ I'm a big stupid ], but anyway. my parents told me to go through workers comp and had to go to a different doctor and everything.
I have no idea what is helllll . I wonder if it's something that my employers would not like . because I 'm not the type of person I sue my company or something , because I got injured . and wondered if it was something like this ...

I know, the question of delay. but nobody told me. so how was I to know more.

You must submit the report of the accident to your supervisor at work. That's a step.

It's a No Fault coverage , required by law in all states except Texas , which says that in exchange for providing you with payment for medical expenses and lost wages , you can not sue the employer for injuries that occur during the course of their employment. < Br >
But you have to notify your supervisior - they are the ones to initiate the claim process .

Workers' compensation is awarded to any person injured while at work. Paid by the employer , usually through the insurance company as most states require companies to make adequate coverage in case of an incident.

the amount is calculated based on the salary, the type / severity of injury and associated medical costs and the ability of the injured person back to work (also called loss of wages).
