I'm looking for insurance companies in the United States that offer this service - that is, instead of buying home insurance to cover everything , buy insurance only for individual articles .

You can go to an independent agent, you will write a policy with Lloyds or other special hazard suit . Premiums start at $ 1,000, and will not include theft or mysterious disappearance . You're basically looking at the coverage of direct fire.

Obviously , it is cheaper and gives better coverage on a renters or homeowners policy , but , hey , if you can not / will not get one, and have money to spend, you can go the other way.

It is possible that before buying a few tenants or homeowners policy , so that pilots are required to cover additional items. You could be setting yourself up for disaster, if you have a loss and are not insured . And if you did find someone to cover individual items , the costs could amount to more than pay for broader coverage .

Extended warranties typically can be purchased at electronic items while shopping . This coverage is different than what the insurance would cover , and generally takes care of something going wrong with the product itself, not , coverage for such things as theft or fire loss that the insurance would cover .
