I was involved in a car accident and has been five days since it happened. I'm starting to have a pain in the left shoulder ( he was driving and is beaten from the seatbelt) . The accident was not my fault, but I worry that the " acceptable" time frame has passed to see a doctor. Is it too late to claim as an injury if I go to the doctor now ?

No soft tissue injuries can take time to exit. You should not delay though, and see a doctor as soon as possible.

It's not too late to file a medical claim unless you signed something with the responsibility of the insurance company the release of an injury. I was in a MVA in December last year and had no pain until 3-4 weeks later. At that point is when I sought medical treatment .

In writing this question is long because it is always best to go immediately to the doctor THAT THIS CAN BE DOCUMENTED FOR YOUR PROTECTION .

Actually , I think you have enough time to claim an injury. Going to the doctor and inform him of the situation. He / she will be able to tell whether the pain is the result of an accident or something else. See a doctor as soon as possible. Do not wait. The insurance company may challenge the delay, but if you have documentation in their medical records to cover the delay, you should be fine . Make sure the doctor takes pictures of the bruising / injury. This will also help you document the injury and the period of time.

No, it is not. No time limit cutting and drying. Most injuries to the worst damage on day 2 and 3.

Obviously , if you wait six months, it will be a problem. The longer you wait , the harder it will be for you to collect on a claim. But a week is usually not a big problem.

You should visit immediately! Not only for their own health safety , but if you must file the police report your medical history can not be used in the case or in the report as anything could've happened to your arm after the accident.

but for your own good health should see one today if possible.

Not unless you signed a statement saying that NO INJURIES IN THE ACCIDENT. And yet, you can file a claim if the physician will document the cause of his injury.

I would say no if the pain has just begun. Explain the situation with the doctor and call your auto insurance company .
