Can a person with a bowel resection eat certain vegetables if they are powdered?0The passage of time,X ° -2012-10-23 16:45:03
My mother in law had a bowel resection about 5 years ago and since then has had a horrible time with weight problems, health problems and stomach issues. There are many leafy vegetables she cannot eat and in addition she cannot have any fruits are vegetables that have any peels or seeds. If she wants those she has to peel and de-seed them herself. I have found a product that has lots of these vegetables in it but it is in powdered form and made into a mix drink. She does not currently have a doctor to ask about this because she does not have insurance. I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me if a person with a bowel resection is able to use these foods in their pulverized and powdered form? Is it the foods them selves that cause the problem or just that the seeds and skins are not easily digested by the intestines? Does consuming them in powdered form eliminate the problem of them not being easily digested? I have found a product called "It Works Greens" that she was thinking about trying out. The ingredient's list is on this page:

Could I have a bowel obstruction or fiber blockage, please help?0Aden2012-09-23 17:15:03
About three weeks ago I did something really stupid. I added way too much fiber to my diet all at once and did not drink enough fluids. I got severely constipated for about three days and ended up having to take the laxative Senokot for a week. After my week of taking Senokot I have been having about one to two bowel movements a day, but they no longer look how my previous bowel movements looked before I added all that fiber to my diet at once. They are thin pencil like stools or what I would like to call stools that are shredded into tons of pieces. I used to have one solid bulk stool. I still have bloating and I do experience lower back pain and front abdominal left side pain that comes and goes throughout the day. I also burp quite a lot throughout the day and I also have bad gas. I have since decreased my fiber content and I drink at least three bottles of water a day, but I still have the pencil shredded stools. I do not have insurance and this is why I have not gone to the doctor yet, but I'm seriously thinking of going to my local general hospital clinic because I am started to get rather worried since my symptoms have not been changing. I have read things online about fiber blockages and I am scared that I might have a blockage in my bowels and that is why my stools no longer look normal. Can anyone give me some answers please?
Ectopic Pregnancy? Bowel problems? I don't know....need help.....?0JOCOBI2012-09-05 22:15:07
So I'm worried that there might be something wrong with me, but I'm not sure what. Maybe y'all can be of assistance? So a little over 3 weeks ago, I started to notice some pain on the lower left side of my abdomen; it came on very suddenly and was pretty intense for about 30 mins to an hour, then it went away. The next day, I started my period. Later that day, when I was eating a meal, the pain came again, though it was less intense and only lasted about 20 minutes. The day after that, the pain came once more when eating a meal and I felt slightly nauseous when I smelled food. The day after that, my period pretty much ended. It was only a two day period, which is definitely not normal for me, as usually I have very long periods that last anywhere from 5 - 7 days. I noticed the pain again either the next day or the day after that, it was was very intense and lasted for over an hour - I remember cause I was in the car with my husband and he was worried about me; we went home early because I was so uncomfortable. The pain came two or three more times after that, usually just once a day and brief. But I've noticed that I've had irregular bowel movements recently and I've also been more gassy, though I haven't had any more nausea or anything like that. Yesterday morning I woke up early to pee and I felt a very intense pain in my lower pelvic area as I did, right around the bone, but it stopped when I stopped peeing. I was cramping as well, but it could have been gas as I've been extremely gassy recently. So my guess is maybe a ectopic pregnancy? I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet, because I only have one left and I don't want to waste it. I haven't had any other signs of pregnancy though, and I did have a heavy two day period (even if it was short.) But what do y'all think? Could I just have irregular bowel issues and maybe that's my problem? Also, I don't have health insurance yet and I can't afford a trip to the doctor right now, which is why I'm on here. Don't even suggest a trip to the doctor because we're trying to move at the moment and can't afford to spend extra $$$.
Problems with stomach and bowel movements.?0No,Sir2012-07-11 22:52:02
I am a woman of 18 years old and for about six years I have had problems with my bowel movements. I'll have two weeks of normal then I will have three weeks of diarrhea followed by constipation two days (this is an estimate). This has continued on a normal basis ans I honestly used to it. However, since the beginning of this year I have gradually realized the different symptoms. I am very bloated and gained a few kilos, but I do not understand how. I am also very tired all the time. I am a college student in my second year, however, these symptoms prevent me from performing at my best. Just this month I had an "episode" which began as chills ... (About 3:00 pm) then spread to my stomach with pain in the left side. Was continued for about two hours ... Then I started to vomit, my stomach still leaves me in agony. (About 1:00 am) I finally stopped throwing up around 5:00 am, but there was a small amount of blood .. My stomach was still in pain. It did not hurt to touch or anything. About 11:00 am I was finally able to establish, because the pain had subsided a little. The rest of the week I got tired a nauseating. But that also left. Two days ago I started my phase of diarrhea again and now I have blood in my stool. When it is not that bad of diarrhea is small specks that cover and are in my stool. My stomach still hurts inside and out, but nowhere near that one day .. I drink plenty of water and have to take fiber supplements hoping to see improvement .. But I have not. I know I need to see a doctor but can not afford and am waiting to be approved by insurance .. Can someone at least help cure until you can go to the doctor and get this straightened once and for all .. Thank you very much. Also, I have many times I can not contain my movements and the need of a bath immediately and other times I feel that way, go to the bathroom and not have to go ..

Synthetic urine or powdered urine? ?0Whispering if the dependency 2012-07-08 01:53:48
My wife is in suboxone and your insurance covers usual. Therefore , could not afford more of them because our mortgage payment was due, so you have some morphine tablets of 30 mg of my father without my knowledge to avoid withdrawal. Now we both know that is a horrible idea and should not do it, but it so you do not need lectures. I'm angry with her. Now when you see your doctor who will fall definitely dirty. Does synthetic urine or urine powder allowed to pass his drug test from your doctor ? I do not think temp is a problem because they do not get tested until several hours later. Thanks in advance for the answers!
