I was in a taxi this morning, and a long light, I told the driver I was going out. We were in the left lane on a one way street , in front of a parking garage. I paid the taxi driver looked back and saw no cars coming, opened the driver's door on the passenger side , and a car hit the door. The car 's other passenger side view mirror was damaged ( came completely off), and had patches of yellow paint on the car. Am I liable for the damages?

My family and I were in a minor car accident we have $22K+ in med bills how much settlement should we expect?1AUX 2012-04-15 02:28:24
The party that struck our vehicle, hit us from behind. He was exalted as "guilt " by the police officer who responded to the emergency call. There were 4 of us in the car at the time ... Myself, my two kids and my nephew. Fortunately , the damage to my vehicle were pretty cheap ($ 600 to fix the rear bumper which was beaten back) , yet children immediately complained of being injured and taken to local children's hospital from the scene of accident . After almost 3 months to go to chiropractic treatment and have finalized our final totals of medical expenses are as follows : I $ 6,440 + $ 900 Chiro ER = $ 7,340 Kid # 1 $ 6.440 + $ 1.100 Chiro ER = $ 7,540 Kid # 2 $ 6.700 + $ 800 = Chiro ER $ 7,500 TOTAL $ 22,380 Our attorney (who has been horrible to work with) is requesting $ 25,000 A PIECE , however I have been informed that we will not receive that amount. How much I can realistically expect and how long to take it? I HAVE read a lot of post on HERE AND I WANT TO HEAR Are there cases where this process is not as long? Are people who have had successful experiences with these settlements - Maybe in a few weeks ?

If my neighbor's dogs were to cause me to injure myself on my property, who would have to pay medical bills?3` → Qing ぐ Zuizui -2012-10-01 10:06:02
My neighbor lets her two big dogs out a few times a day for a few minutes. I have much fear of dogs. Sometimes they come to my garden as I'm walking down the steep stairs . I have fear that I may drop one of those times when they come to me. Note :. Not mean, not attack , but they are too friendly and fast moving ( surprise attack ) If it hurts , be able to sue the neighbor dogs that come on my property, or if my homeowners insurance need to cover ? PS Please do not advice on talking to your neighbor in advance to avoid this situation , I just want to know what could be done legally . Thank you !
