I know that there is a specific paint code for cars , but also body shops specific document variation using code to make repairs on a vehicle ? I had done repair work on the car and the paint is off of the original. ( I have a new car) . The insurance company refuses to authorize a repaint , claiming that they see no difference between the original and the new paint . I've been to other stores , and asked his friends to tell me if I'm making a big deal over nothing, and everyone can see the color of the new does not match correctly . MedlinePlus I would ask the body shop that used a variation of my color code . Will this detail in the file or just the general code ? How long generally maintain repair records on file? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Since this is unfortunately a body shop that is affiliated with the insurance company , I now understand really works for insurance , I'm anticipating that I'll take a walk around, as they have been a fool about how the company not authorize repairs. I do not want to be told I do not have that information , if it is not true . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If I choose the repaired area properly painted at a later date to my office, I know what is first applied , so the next shop does not use the same variation . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus What is the truth about the records on repairs ?
