18 year old girl wants to move out? Condo, Appartment,or Mobile Home? Confused?0jaszie2012-09-21 14:45:04
Please tell me if the assumptions do is right or wrong. I make about $ 1,500 / month in math tutoring my university tutoring center. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I live in a super expensive in NY ... and a one-bedroom apartment is $ 1,500 / month if you're lucky. It is usually more. And yet this does not include anything ... just rent. So basically, I would be completely wiped out of my money after paying rent. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I've had my eye on this building near my college for a while. It is a 1 bedroom / 1 bath. Its price is $ 110,000. From what I understand, I would have to make at least a 20% down payment. So 20% of $ 110,000 is approximately: $ 22,000. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Now I have about half that saved ... so if I extra effort during the coming months and super hard during the winter, I think I might be able to get the money. That would leave a balance of $ 88,000. If I have the standard 30-year fixed rate mortgage loan, the monthly payments would be $ 244 + $ 300 monthly condo fee = $ 544 hold a month. I imagine it would probably be a little higher because the loan interest. But still ... this value is significantly less than the rent of $ 1,500, right? Also, if I decide this ... then I would go to grad.school limited in my state ... I would not mind at all, I have really wanted to go to Stonybrook. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus And the trailer ... drastic and dangerous option. It is priced at $ 7,000 in total. I have the money and could go buy now. However, the area is very poor, with a crime rate that increases exponentially every year ... and I'm a girl who lives by herself ... that would make me a prime target for rape, theft, murder, etc.. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Also, do not hold their value, either ... Say for example, I decide I want to go out of state grad.school two years later when I graduate college. i would have a hard time getting it out of my hands. Also, if something bad happens, I do not think these houses are covered by insurance. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus So ... What should I do? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thanks in advance for the help, all answers are appreciated :)

Hello , I have 18 years and I am traveling to Germany for a month next week . I have full travel insurance for the whole of my stay. A week ago I had a urinary tract infection , which is not completely better. My concern is basically that when I go to Germany of infection will return and I need medication. If so I have to ) go to the doctors , or b ) go to pharmasist . I am also sure how this works with travel insurance ? not just book the appointment with the doctors and explain I have insurance ? Any help would be greatly apprectiated
What do i need to know/do to move a 10x45 ft. mobile home myself?0gavial2012-08-22 22:45:02
Ok so I have acquired a free mobile home. Its going to be put out into the woods as a cabin/hunting shack. I just need to get it home. It was already being used as a cabin, so there are no gas/electric/utility/etc. lines to disconnect. The trailer is already off the ground, the tires have been pumped and ready to go for 3 weeks now. It was moved once before (a few years ago) to its current location. It is a 1968, and its 10x45 ft. I have a 3/4 ton Ford powerstroke diesel to pull it. Im wondering, what do i all need to know? Its only 10 ft wide so i dont need a wide load sign or "escort". I believe i do still need a permit because it is wider than 8-1/2' . insurance is on the truck, everything seems to be set. Where the trailer goes isnt an issue. Im only wondering if theres anything else i need to do or know for transporting it. Anything im missing/advice?

Empty Nest Parents.. If your kids were all grown and moved out, would u sell your home and move into a mobile?0Carlie2012-07-25 12:03:02
home and move into a mobile home? Say your mortgage, taxes, insurance, etc cost you $18,000 a year to maintain.. You had the chance to move into a cute mobile home where your payment would only be $275 a month and could live easier. Would U? or would you be afraid of what the relatives would say and the wrath you would get for doing that?

A year ago i purchased a mobile home in a park.?0Josie2012-08-03 22:06:51
The place burned down this past september, and the insurance company won't pay me the remaining balance owed to me because i don't have the title to the place. i did some homework and discovered that the park actually financed to me a mobile home with someone else's name on the title! the park says that they will file for a title but that was back over 8 weeks ago. do i have grounds for a lawsuit? i have heard that a mobile home was similar to a car; when you get it, the title comes shortly. i never saw the title to mine. all i have as proof of ownership is the contract. is this illegal? should i hire an attorney?
