If I lower my auto insurance deductible now, do I pay that deductible or previous for a claim already reported?0daniell2012-07-23 03:06:02
Someone hit my car about 3 months ago, and insurance deemed no fault on both parties. I have not had the time to have the rear quarter repaired at a shop until now, but I was also planning to lower my deductible from $1000 to $500. If I lower it now, which deductible would I pay?
Lower Deductible before claim?0^/^ (8) ^/^ -.- :P:D:S 2012-05-31 05:24:29
My car was beaten in the parking lot of a person is away. May state a silly idea, but I did not do , so I called my insurance company to see if they could help with the damage. I did not claim , but I told them what had happened . After answering a few questions that I asked if I was going to claim I said shop around for the first time . We find the work would be much more than expected , so I asked what was my deductible. They told me $ 1,000 since I was young one. I had no idea first joined them I was overwhelmed , because I have that amount of money flying I said I could lower my deductible, but will raise my premium. Few days after passing a successful search for a body shop that I decided I could afford to lower my deductible. I claim I know, but I heard that if I lower my deductible a claim then aftwerwards is considered fraud. Honestly I have no idea what im doing a fraud or something like that is not what I'm trying to be part of. I was shopping around trying to find a bid on failing to do so. He apologizes for poor grammar an what not, but I would really appreciate any advice on what to do. Should I file a claim ? thanks

Auto insurance deductible...claim as income at tax time?0taci2012-10-24 19:18:54
This question is a little silly , I guess , but I'm not sure. MedlinePlus I was in an accident last year and it was not his fault . I paid the $ 500 deductible insurance out of pocket to get my car body shop . I still have not received this money from my insurance company . Question: When you receive this money I have to claim it as income at tax time because we are in a different calendar year ? Does it matter who paid out of pocket , therefore , IMO , is not really income ?

Around how much could I save switching from a $500 deductible to $1000 deductible?1BeeDeePee 2012-05-23 10:34:08
Currently my husband and I pay about $ 212 a month for our car insurance .... he has a 2002 Explorer and I have a VW Jetta 2007. He had an accident in 2006 and we are both only 20 , almost 21, but my agent told me that while we're young , because we are married, have a discount like we were 25. I was recently talking to some friends who are also married and some only pay like $ 85 - $ 105 per month, which makes me sick b / c I pay that much. Someone told me that changing a deductible of $ 500 to $ 1000 could save some money ? Does anyone know around how much you could save ? And how long will affect your accident insurance, as well as how many years?
What's the difference between individual deductible and family deductible?0Carman2012-04-29 18:14:16
My wife and I currently have an individual health insurance. Let's say $ 1500 deductible each. If you join mine , it does save a little in premiums , but says the family becomes deductible of $ 3000. Does that mean that if one of us becomes seriously injured as a $ 10,000 or more physicians, I have to pay up to $ 3000 to satisfy the deductible before the insurance takes care of the rest? Because if that is so, not much point in being alone separately and if one of us gets hurt, you just paid $ 1500 to meet the deductible. That's how I interpreted it, not sure if that is correct though. please help.
