So I live in New Jersey, but I go to school in New York. I have a student permit in New Jersey and I have 16 years of age and I 've driven with the permit for 6 months before turning 17, but I'll leave and after my 16th birthday. Now , I go to school in New York, and some friends of mine who live there in New York tell me that they have taken a course in driving school, which allowed them to get their full license, not provisional, at the age of 17 years. Is there something similar in New Jersey, or do I have to go through the provisional license for one year, when I have 17 years , and then get the full license at age 18 .
