Many people are upset that forces you to have insurance or a fine. The same applies to car insurance. So what's the difference?

I fear that the response is correct diatribe here. The legal difference is that you can choose to drive or not.

In the big picture , I suspect that the difference does not matter much in the long term. "Choice " really is relative. In theory , the difference is huge. Virtually its close to zero.

This plan of health care is a disaster poorly designed , but the health care nationalization of some sort is probably a necessity in the long run.

1 . The law on auto insurance is not allowed to have a car without auto insurance too . Still gives you the option of not having any of them. In other words, you do not have to get car insurance , unless you get a car.

2 . The law only requires that you have the type of insurance ( liability) to protect others if you hurt them or their properties. It requires you to have the types of insurance that protects you from making your own car (collision) or what the thieves , fires , floods, etc. , not your car (complete) . The health insurance law would be necessary to have insurance that covers what what happens to your body, not just what happens to others.
