My insurance ran out in October and I havent got round of the classification so far.
I had 4 years with no claims bonus when it ran out , does that still stand with the new insurance company even though there is a gap of 2 months?

No, do not worry it's all on computer anyway.
The easiest thing is to stay with the company before, but otherwise trading will have to wait for the company's certificate of age to submit a new one.

you're lucky, renew now if you will still have their claims bonus

No, not only will keep your " no claims bonus " , but within 30 days or more , you will see a significant increase in their rates, and if it is auto insurance , * might * be classified as high risk. His company expired may not want to take you back but you have to call your agent to be sure.
