I currently live in california and I'm 18 and just got my driving license. I know some people say it's a little late, but I do not want to pay for drivers ed and such. I'm starting college soon and was wondering if im allowed to drive only to and from ONLY behind the school . I read the other posts , but nothings about 18 years old , and I saw something on the DMV website says you need a note or something from the dean , director or some school.

The law states that anyone driving with a permit must be accompanied by a driver who is at least 21 years of age. Just go get your license ... that will make things easier

me and my friends used to steal cars and go parents the joy riding around the block when we were 14 .... hahahhaa

this is bad advice ... but if I had to drive by myself, in total disregard of the adult partner , 6 months, only between 07 am-3 pm how absurd it is . I say no , but if you do (I personally ) has just been a very good driver and obedient : D

... expect once you're over 18 OT should be able to just get your license , not a permit. Drivers Ed when I was a young man of 17 years in the DNA that man told him to wait until he is 18 years to obtain their license, because that would be faster. check again with the DMV. and no, you can not drive alone with a permit

even if they were 50 years old ... a permit is just that ... that gives "permission" to drive as long as you have a driver's license with you in the car ...

not take that chance ... You do not want your license to be removed before doing so ... or have points removed ... or worse, get into an accident and hurt yourself or someone else.
..
Why not go to Craigslist and post an ad. check if any students with a valid license that has the same schedule as you and are willing to travel with you from and to ? maybe you can get half the gas money that way too ...

but not sweet , if you cheat in that way he knows to be illegal ... karma will come to you in a negative way ...
