From the staff of the Office of Motor Vehicles Ohio :
Registration :
License plates expire on the birthday of the owner, or if the vehicle is leased , the registration expires on the 20th of the month designated for the leasing company .
There is no grace period.
Registrations may be renewed by going to an agency attached license registration , by registered mail , entering 1-866-OPLATES or calling the toll free number ( 1-866-675-2837 ). Addresses can be updated by completing a form at the license registration agency or by logging onto attached .

No grace period likely OVER YOU have to pay extra for letting them expire SORRY SOMEWHERE AROUND 15.00 or more
