BCN stands for 2 years after he was lost.

Depends on the insurance company. Most will keep your NCB for 2 years without securing a car, but there are some small that only allow one year. Talk to your insurance company and ask for the ultimate test of its national central bank and ask them how long they can keep before they either get lost or need to secure another car.

The unassuming bond has a duration of two years of not being insured before losing .

I was told recently that my NCB could be frozen for 12 months and then he would lose everything.
I was going to cancel my policy , as I sold my car and not intended to replace immediately, but was told that I would lose my hard earned 4 years without complaints. So instead they just let the policy run to its natural conclusion and then bought an old car, just to make sure that I would lose my no claims .
Shit, but it was the lesser of 2 evils. :-(

Good luck .
